Reviews and Ratings for Financial adviser Mark MacLean, Chelmsford
Mark

In the office

Mark brings a wealth of knowledge from a career in finance that started at Lloyds Bank in 1986. Mark left Lloyds to become an Independent Financial Adviser working for various companies including Bradford & Bingley, Broadstone and as a director at Cantab Asset Management.

He has a passion and a drive to provide advice all around lifestyle planning. With strong principles and an ethical approach, lifestyle planning is more than just about building assets.

Mark often works with people building towards, or in, retirement, and he also specialises in providing planning advice for individuals dealing with divorce.

Mark’s proudest moment as a financial planner was, after serving his ’30 year apprenticeship’ being employed, finally taking control of his destiny by becoming joint principal of HarperLees.

Mark thoroughly enjoys working with the great team at HarperLees, who genuinely believe that they can make a real difference to the lives of our clients.  Mark loves the privilege of assisting clients to realise their dreams and the challenge of finding a solution to bring a better outcome for client and their families.

In the

Spotlight

On an ideal weekend, you can find me:

At the Arsenal, seeing a band, and at a nice restaurant with the family.

My favourite holiday destination is:

Australia. We’ve had it booked for the past two years and deferred to 2022…. Maybe.

My favourite song to play in the car is:

The Slow Readers Club – Fool For Your Philosophy.

The first album I bought was:

The Police – Outlandos d’Amour.

If I could be any fictional character, I would be:

Paul Ashworth, played by Colin Firth in Fever Pitch, the film based on Nick Hornsby’s book. I have spent the last 30 years checking football fixtures before committing to family events, holidays etc. just like the character in the film.

The three qualities that draw me to new people are:

Those with a positive outlook, a smile and not taking themselves too seriously.

My pet peeve is:

Bad manners.

The three people at my dream dinner party would be:

Arsene Wenger, Kylie Minogue, and Eddie Izzard.

The best gift I've ever received is:

My two daughters, Rose and Thea.

The three small things that make my day better are:

A cuddle from Rose and Thea, sunshine, Arsenal winning.

The types of people I most enjoy working with are:

Open minded people who are prepared to be challenged, all with a common goal of seeking better outcomes for their lifetimes.
