FAQs

Got a question we haven’t answered here? Get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

Where are meetings held?

Predominantly client meetings are held in our dedicated meeting rooms at our office in Ingatestone. We are happy to provide meetings via Zoom/Teams where preferred and home visits, particularly where there is difficulty travelling.

What are your office hours?

9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, we can offer some flexibility around this on discussion.

Do you have parking?

We have a dedicated parking space right outside of our office for clients to use.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?

No, the initial meeting is at our cost entirely. It is a chance to get to know each other and for us to ensure that we can make a difference to your financial future.

What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?

An idea of your current assets, income and expenditure (doesn’t need to be detailed), ID documents (ideally Passport and Driving Licence) and an open mind.

How long should I allow for an initial meeting?

Up to 90 minutes.

Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?

Not at all, but you will be given all the information you need at that meeting to consider whether we are the right firm for you.

Are you independent?

Yes. As an independent financial planning firm, we operate on a non-restricted basis and therefore have access to whole-of-market solutions.

Are you regulated?

Yes, we are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You can find our entry on the FCA register here.

Will you advise on final salary/defined benefit transfers?

We consider Final Salary pension schemes within our lifestyle financial planning as they form a key foundation for client’s retirement. However, currently we will not accept enquiries relating to Final Salary pension transfers.

What happens if my Financial Planner is away on holiday?

All clients have a Paraplanner providing support in addition to the Financial Planner, who will be able to help in most instances if your Financial Planner is off for any reason. In addition, all Financial Planners in HarperLees are able to pick up on each other’s work.
